The Lyons New Media Centre is looking to hire student assistants for the school term to work at the help desk. All student assistants must qualify for the McMaster Work Study Program.
The student assistant will provide assistance to library users, using software programs and equipment relating to media projects. He/she is responsible for the safety and security of the multimedia equipment, the New Media Centre and for tasks assigned by the supervisor. Knowledge of multimedia, related media software programs and equipment, and familiarity with a Mac environment is required. Previous experience in public service is desirable. Punctuality, dependability, communication skills, willingness to help others and attention to detail are extremely important. This job will be valuable to students wishing to obtain work experience in multimedia and public service.
